Disney California Adventure Park

Park Summary:

Disney California Adventure Park is an amalgamation of different themed lands that are a celebration of Hollywood and movies. The main areas include Pixar Pier, Hollywood Land, Pacific Wharf, Grizzly Peak, Cars Land, and Buena Vista Street. It feels a little disjoint when compared to Disneyland park, but it has a number of great attractions that you can’t miss. These include:
Radiator Springs Racers, The Incredicoaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, Soarin, and Grizzly River Run. The nighttime spectacular World of Color is, in my opinion, the best nighttime show in the U.S. It combines light and water to tell an amazing story that may leave you in tears.

The show often occurs multiple times a night, and fastpasses are available for better viewing locations, so be sure to take advantage of that.

Day Plan:
Overall, there isn’t nearly as much to do in Disney California Adventure Park when compared to Disneyland park. This is why I recommend getting Disneyland Hopper Tickets, to help make the most of your time. When you arrive, head straight to Cars Land to experience Radiator Springs Racers. When you’re done, head over to Pixar Pier and grab a fastpass for the incredicoaster. As you wait for that fastpass to be available, ride Toy Story Mania and other nearby attractions. After you’re done, move towards Grizzly Peak, and grab a fastpass for World of Color later that night. Ride Soarin, then Grizzly River Run is you want to get wet (you WILL get wet). Afterwards, head through the rest of the park towards Hollywoodland, making sure to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout. If you need a break, Frozen: Live is a really great show, but it does take 45 minutes, so plan accordingly. At night, be sure to watch World of Color. If you do have Disneyland Hopper Tickets, you could possibly see Fantasmic at Disneyland Park and World of Color on the same night.
